REPs Recommended Education Providers

The New Zealand Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) registers education provides courses to ensure they meet the standards required by the industry.

There are two types of REPs registered education courses (click on the name for more a list)

(1) Initial Qualifications

(2) Ongoing Education (up-skilling)

(1) Providers of initial qualifications are reviewed by REPs to ensure they meet the full requirements to work in the industry and thereby register with REPs.  This means completing one of these courses will take a person from completely unqualified, to fully able to work in the industry.

As there are different roles in the industry and therefore different levels of registration with REPs, which are explained in more detail on the REPs level page.

(2) Ongoing education courses are designed to up-skill existing exercise professionals.  These courses are more suitable for those already working in the exercise industry, or related industries (such as health professionals), but may be of interest to those who do not wish to work in the industry but would like to know more about a particular topic.  These courses can be found here.

Note: REPs uses CECs (Continuing Education Credits) as one of the requirements of re-registration each year.  Full details of this can be found on the CEC page.
